Merchants Seize Lockdown As An Opportunity To Inflate The Price Of Goods
With all that’s going on in the world, with countries on lockdown, people out of work, and so much uncertainty, you would think this would be a time for people to consider humanity as a priority.
Unfortunately, some merchants in Lagos Nigeria are taking this opportunity to price gauge their goods sold. Local merchants are increasing their prices in this challenging period of lockdown.
With food obviously being a necessity they are making this period hell for the needy and the less privileged in Nigeria.
Causing the less privileged to starve.
For some people in Nigeria their fear is not dying of Covid-19, but rather starvation from not being able to feed their starving families.
For instance,Where cassava FLOUR was once #700 naira some places are selling for as high as #1300! Though we all must survive. Greed has plagued our nation but we will soon see that .In a time like this it should not be on the backs of the fellow community. MOREOVER, let us make life worth living for ourselves because what goes around will come back around.
